Evie Online

My class did a play.  I played Mother Goose.  We practiced and practiced.  I shared a part with my friend named Amina.  I was nervous.  My friend Silver played Little Boy Blue.  My friend Maya played Little Bo Peep.

The parents came to see the play today.  After the play, there was snacks and a slideshow of the year. Then we went to recess. After recess, we got on a bus to go to my friend’s named Ayah’s house. It was very big. When we were done swimming, we watched a movie.  The first thing we did was paint a banner with water-colored ice cubes. My mom came to the party and she helped.   

My favorite part about the party was jumping into the pool with a blow-up tube.  The boys and girls went at different times.

“Hee, hee, you can’t catch me!”
Oh, yes we can.
Snap!
We caught him.

Today we sorted with some squares. The idea was to guess the right guess of how many squares it would take to fill in the graph. Most were fives and fours. Then we got to play with them.

I got all of them right. They were all different colors.

I said to my shoe,
“This must be the zoo.”
My shoe said to me,
“What will you do?”

I said, “I will see
An animal or three
And the lion will play
And get taken away.

And I’ll have a ‘tail’ to tell.”

I went to my friend’s house. She lives by the pyramids.  At her house, I got to see horses and a donkey. I got to ride them. 

Also, I got to see their dogs and cats. The littlest was Zoro — he is a dog and he is very cute.  I really liked Zoro.

Also, there was a baby horse and I got to see it.  The baby horse’s name is Fairy. 

And, my friend has a golden microphone and a piano. I got to use both. I brought donuts there and we got to eat them. And they had spaghetti and french fries and guess what?  The donkey’s name is Bart — he is black.  Fairy is brown and white. Her mom is a very mean horse named Cleopatra.  She is mean because she wants to protect her baby. 

My friend is very nice. In her garden, that is where the stables are. 

We went swimming in her pool.  I was the third person to jump in the pool. It was very cold - it was, in fact, colder than snow. 

After we rode Bart one last time, we went home. That’s all.  Thank you, Goodbye!

Hi, my name is Evie.  I am six years old (Boo, ha — that’s a joke!)

My first day of school after vacation: In the morning, it was so hard to get up, my mommy made me cry. Because, I was so tired!

(By the way, how was your vacation?)

At school: I said hi to my teachers, and then I put my stuff away and put my folder in the basket. Then I went outside to play. And then the whistle blew. We lined up. I was line leader that day. That means, I got to lead the line. You have fun being line leader; everybody loves it.

At school, I did calendar. ok ok, I’ll talk about today. After school, I had a playdate with my friend Maya. Yesterday I went to Irish dancing!

I am  going skating. What are you doing?

I am going to see the Wizards.  My dad is not coming to America because he has to work.  I am going to miss the cats.

I am excited to see John and all my other cousins, except I am not going to see Katy and James. Katy is one of my little cousins and so is James — he is a new born baby. But I hope that I can see Calvin’s Christmas Tree.

I got a toy lamb for Christmas. My favorite present was a Little Kinz. 

My Christmas tree is bending because the branches are sticking out. There are pretty ornaments on it.

I am spending Christmas with my grandma and grandpa. I am making a gingerbread chain.

Today was my last day of schoool for 2007.  I’m going to miss my teacher. I am going to miss my best friend. When I get back it wiil be 2008. On my holiday I will go to Petra and Washington. Merry Christmas everybody!

Welcome everybody to my blog!  My teacher is Ms. Glanfield.  You can find information about my class here.  My mom is coming back in two days.  I miss her.  I have a cat named Coconut. She is playing with a piece of string right now.  Christmas break is starting early. I have my Christmas tree up. Monday is the last day of school.
